About Me
So this is the bit where I tell you about me, my name is Louise and my first encounter with dachshunds was when I was about 5 years old, my nan used to breed them and from there I got the bug! I loved visiting her dogs and seeing day old pups, one particular memory from her house is checking the pups every day to see if their eyes had opened, being so young at the time I didn't know they were born shut, so you can imagine my joy when one morning I checked the puppies and all of a sudden they had 'got' eyes, I of course know better now! I am totally in smitten with these little dogs and can never imagine life without them, they all have such amazing personalities, they're bold, loyal, loving and usually full of mischief and one is never enough!! The dogs will always attract attention wherever you go and life will never be the same....
Introducing the girls...
Lola was my first dachshund and she's a silver dapple. I had never intended to get a silver dapple, in fact I went for a black and tan girl but fell in love with those shiny silver patches and the rest is history. Lola is the sweetest dog in the world with a wonderful temperament and has been a fantastic mum to her pups, she is a complete show off and attention seeker!Knowing how much I enjoyed Lola and still wanting that classic black and tan I bit the bullet and I decided to get another girl six months later, she was a black and tan mini smooth which we called Brenna. Brenna also had a wonderful temperament, she's completely devoted to us peoples and loves a cuddle, she also has an air of snobbery about her for some reason, she'll give a look that says 'well I suppose you can stroke me, just make sure you wash your hands first'!
Our newest addition is our chocolate girl, Bella. Bella is Brenna's daughter and was a complete surprise regarding colour. Bella is growing into a very gorgeous girl, she is completely devoted me and is a total cuddle monster. Bella and I are just starting our show career so we may just see you around at some of the shows this year.

Why Brengor?
My nan's kennel name was Brengor, the Bren coming from her (Brenda) and the Gor from my grandad (Gordon). As soon as I got Lola I knew I wanted to breed and show dachshunds and applied for my nan's old kennel name, it was granted to me in February 2008. We are also members of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeder Scheme.
This was a litter that my nan, Brenda Gilby, produced in the 1960's of chocolate and chocolate dapple miniature smooths.
